Special Needs and Inclusion

Sinnington School is an inclusive school which works hard to ensure all children receive the best possible education. For some children, this may mean that some additional support or help may be needed. This could be in the form of additional activities such as interventions or catch-up work or it could mean we look for additional support from other professionals such as speech therapy or an enhanced mainstream school. You can find details of what we offer in our SEN Information report and School SEND Policy below.

 

In some cases the Local Authority may offer additional support and you can find details about this local offer by visiting the North Yorkshire Council website

If you have any concerns or questions your child’s class teacher is often best place to help initially and on a day to day basis.


Our SENDCo, who oversees the provision for students with additional needs alongside the Headteacher and the SEN Trustee is Mrs Jemma Bullock and she can be contacted by email or by phone on 01751 431725. You are also able to arrange a meeting with Mr Neil Roden, Head of School, to discuss any concerns you may have.

The SEND Governor is Jon Sykes.
